Natural History Museum in March
It was a beautiful Spring day here in LA, so we decided to head down to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in Exposition Park on Saturday March 23, 2019.
Giant dinosaur sculptures stand tall on the corner of Exposition Blvd. These big guys have welcomed visitors from near and far over the years. The museum was established in 1913 and is flush in assortments of bones, fossils, gems, minerals, taxidermy, specimens, and cool dioramas.
Below are some newer Los Angeles exhibits and a brand new jewelry exhibition in the mineral and gems room.
Check out the fun little video we made that day! :
Lastly, we explored the beautiful flowers outside the museum! Springtime is just lovely here, especially after all the rain from this season.
We also watched a 3D show about Oceans, which whisked us away to an underwater fantasy where sea turtles, otters, whales, sharks and octopus roamed freely in the life rich water. Next time we will have to check out the Butterfly Exhibit again where you are in a tent surrounded by hundreds of gorgeous butterflies from all over the planet!
There are always new and interesting things to see and do here, including First Fridays, which we will be attending on April 5th. Hopefully, we’ll see you there! Till then, this is Olguin Scene. Thanks for watching and reading!
