Photoshoot with Kalinda

My Camera Club gets to photograph the best character models all the time, and this week we had the pleasure of capturing some of Kalinda’s favorite looks! Equipt with dresses, wigs, makeup and accessories Kali brought 4 incredible outfits to pose in. As an actress, singer, dancer and performer, she brought such a wide variety of epic looks, masterful poses and joyful expressions for us to capture!

Her first ensemble was a lovely Lavender Fairy. I hope you enjoy a few favorites I’ve picked out! :

Curtsey for the Camera

I was in awe over this gorgeous fluffy dress and her shimmery wings. Here, she did a little curtsey for the camera so we could admire its fullness! Just lovely!

Each photographer took turns with a variety of poses including full body shots, closeups and even the backview to highlight her magical, and iridescent wings. In post-production I even edited a few to bring an element of magic in too!

Before we knew it, it was time for the next costume and who knew Kali’s villainous side was about to come out next! This Fairy Princess had now transformed into the Queen of Hearts! A Disney Villain extraordinaire complete with an accent and all the mannerisms! Now Presenting, the Queen! :

This Vain Queen really shines in front of the camera!

Since we were just getting into the swing of these Villain poses, we got to keep the party rolling with a touch of Cruella Devil next! From 101 Dalmations, Cruella has a taste for exotic furs, and her spotted trim alone tells the tale.

Don’t cross this puppy-loving woman! (But feel free to photograph her dahling!)

Kali’s last outfit was by far my favorite! The talented Moe Marks made this next gown for her based off of the character “Lucy Westenra” from Francis Ford Coppola’s “Dracula”. The fabric was simply magical as it draped and flowed. (No fan required!)

Truly a magical evening enjoyed by all! We hope to have Kalinda back again with more of her epically gorgeous costumes! Such a joy to work with!

Happy cosplaying,

Crystal Olguin
