Our favoite Simpsons Quotes of all time!

The Simpsons Live on stage at the Hollywood Bowl 2014

Since we were kids, "The Simpsons" has been a part of our lives. I was just Lisa's age when it first aired on Fox and my parents let me watch this "colorful" cartoon every Sunday evening. I identified with Lisa (not only because she was 8), but because she also played the saxophone and her dad was a beer drinking, fun loving oaf, who always managed to get into the darndst family situations! What has stuck with us the most throughout the years has been the hilarious and memorable lines and sayings though!

Every character has his or her own unique catchphrase. Being as simple as something like Homer's "D'oh!" or Nelson's "Ha-ha!",  these quirky sayings have worked their way into our everyday vernacular!

So sit back on your brown couch, grab a Duff and enjoy the funny phrases that Mike and I say nearly everyday!:

#1 "What's the point of going out? We're just going to wind up back here anyway."  - Homer Simpson to Marge Simpson before leaving home

#2 "Ya, but what are ya going to do?" - Bart Simpson shrugging it off

#3 "I play nerd." Reiner Wolfcastle as McBane (a Schwarzenegger-like character) with glasses on

#4 "No T.V., no beer makes Homer something... something...?" "Go crazy?" -Marge "Don't mind if I do!"  -Homer Simpson ala Jack Nicholson in "The Shinning"

#5 "Now I've got you, my rumpy doppelgänger." -Principal Seymore Skinner grabbing a mooning likeness in hot air balloon form

#6 "Feels like I'm wearing nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all! -Ned Flanders in a revealing ski suit

#7  "Kids can be so cruel." -Marge Simpson "We can?!?" - Bart Simpson who proceeds to be cruel to Lisa just down the hall out of view

#8 "Uh, no. They're saying boo-urns, boo-urns!" -Waylon Smithers explaining to Mr  Burns that the crowd is not booing him

#9 "Who was Old Hickory?" -Miss Hoover "I don't know, you?" -Lisa Simpson in a rare snotty 'defying the teacher' phase

#10 And Mike's personal favorite Homerisms: "Sophistimacated.", "And then I touched her sweet, sweet can." in Homer Badman, and  "For once maybe someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene." -Homer Simpson

So I hope you enjoyed our Top 10 phrases uttered by some of our favorite Simpsons characters over the last 28 years! Laughter is a beautiful gift and I'm so glad that we both "talk Simpsons" to one another for our daily chuckle.
